Over the last few weeks, we’ve been busy at trade shows and open houses throughout the U.S. and Mexico exhibiting solutions to boost manufacturing productivity and lower costs. Here’s a quick rundown of where we’ve been and what’s to come:

Offshore Technology Conference (Houston, TX), May 1-4, 2017

At the world’s largest oil & gas exhibition, more and more gripping and wear protection needs became evident spanning the entire oil and gas industry. The new Rocklinizer Model 950 with its rougher coating capabilities was especially popular for those seeking better gripping on pipes, shafts, valves, etc.

Our full line of marking equipment was also of great interest, as the 100% portability of the battery-operated FlyMarker is ideal to mark throughout an oil field or on a rig. In addition, the deep marking capabilities of the pneumatic-powered MV5 M80 was a perfect fit for treated steel.

FABTECH Mexico and Open House (Monterrey, Mexico), May 2-5, 2017

We combined an open house at our Mexican distributors, Herramental Monterrey, with the FABTECH Mexico exhibition. We also participated in a customer demo where the cordless FlyMarker outperformed a corded competitor’s unit in speed, mark quality and portability.

Also of note, our Mexican distributors recently completed a demo of the MoldMender Micro Welder where the customer was sending an expensive mold for repair to Europe at $20,000 a pop. After investing just a small fraction of that one-time cost in a MoldMender, they are now repairing their molds and dies in-house and avoiding weeks of downtime.

EDM Tech Center Open House (Minneapolis, MN), May 16-17, 2017

We were pleased to participate in an Open House to support EDM Tech Center, our sales reps in Minnesota. With strong plastic injection molding and medical supply demand in the area, the Lase One Micro Welder for ferrous and non-ferrous metals was a big hit as was the MoldMender Micro Welder.

The LaserEvo Fiber Laser Marking Unit is also ideally suited for both medical and industrial uses, and we shared the intricate marks it produces with the attendees.

Amerimold (Rosemont, IL), June 14-15

The MoldMender and Lase One Micro Welders were the featured items at The Event for Mold Manufacturing. There was heightened focus on repair capabilities for nearly any type of mold. The FlyMarker was also front and center with its ability to mark uneven parts and a variety of materials from plastic to aluminum to 62 HRC steel.

EMO (Hannover, Germany), September 18-23

With nearly 150,000 visitors expected, the focus will be on the new Rocklinizer Model 950 and the MoldMender Micro Welder.

FABTECH (Chicago, IL), November 6-9

Our full suite of products will be on display, including the Rocklinizer, MoldMender, FlyMarker, LaserEvo and Lase One.
