50 years. Half a century. For well over half of our company’s 86 years in business, Rocklin Manufacturing has had the distinct pleasure of working with George Glumb, who has been our exclusive sales representative in Michigan since 1970. We like to say that we measure our partnerships in decades, not years. George Glumb is the epitome of that statement.

George has demonstrated and sold more of our equipment than anyone. The reason George has been so successful is he’s – first and foremost – a great person, but also because he’s intensely focused on solving customers’ problems. He’s highly skilled in the usage of our equipment as well as the various applications and benefits. He can draw upon a wealth of knowledge and experience to help customers realize lower costs and greater productivity, two timeless objectives that are perhaps never more essential than they are today.

In April of last year, George made the trip for our inaugural Rocklin Manufacturing Rep Summit in Sioux City, Iowa. We all learned from one another but especially from George, who openly shared what’s worked so well for him over the years. We were proud to honor George with two plaques, the “Sparks Specialist Award” for outstanding Rocklinizer sales and a “Lifetime Achievement Award” recognizing his contributions over many decades.

After 50 years, George informed us last week that he would be retiring. He said, “I would have retired 20 years ago, but I was having too much fun.” All of us at Rocklin Manufacturing want to thank George for the fun we’ve had working with him, and we sincerely wish him the very best in his next chapter.
