There are a number of reasons you might be in the market for a dot peen marking unit. Yes if you mark multiple materials or surfaces. Force control prevents over-marking soft materials and under-marking hard ones.
3. What is the typical marking window size?
It depends on your content and marking surface. Define your largest text/logo/code first, then pick a window that comfortably fits it.
4. How do we handle round parts?
Look for units that can automatically adjust to round surfaces to limit cost and complexity.
