2022 Recap: 88 going on 89…
As we approach our 89th year in business, we wanted to take a step back and briefly reflect on an eventful 88th. Here’s a quick summary…
We kicked off the year with the introduction of two Rocklinizer® Automation solutions: a turnkey gantry system and a robotic system. Each of these setups takes our proprietary carbide coating solution and adds even greater cost and time savings through automation, which can be calculated using our Rocklinizer® Automation ROI calculator. And for those who are new to our carbide application process, we published Rocklinizer FAQs that explain how the Rocklinizer® reduces wear, extends life, and boosts grip.
We then launched the FlyMarker® mini 65/30 4.3” touch, a touchscreen version of the bestselling FlyMarker® mini 65/30. Featuring a larger screen and lightning-fast processor, it delivers a touchscreen option along with the same options that make the FlyMarker® lightweight, portable dot peen marking units a time and cost saver for our customers. While there are countless dot peen marking applications for the FlyMarker® mini, we highlighted a couple, including a scribe-like dot peen marking appearance that can withstand metal treatments like galvanizing and powder coating and using the FlyMarker® to prevent prevent catalytic converter theft.
In the spring, we introduced two new LaserEvo Tabletop Fiber Laser Marking Units, both designed to make your life easier when laser marking – the Mini Laser compact laser marker and the Easy Evo 3D laser marker for round or uneven surfaces. For those seeking portable fiber laser engraving, the MobiLase® delivers 30W power in a compact, 45-lb. package, and this unique combination was featured in The Fabricator highlighting the advantages of portable laser marking. We then launched a battery-powered version, MobiLase® Battery, for unrivaled portability in industrial laser marking.
We also launched a CO2 laser marking solution, MarCO2, an ideal solution for those marking on wood, glass, leather, and certain plastics. If you’re unsure about which laser marking technology is the optimal one for your application(s), we created an interactive laser marking technology chart to select between portable and desktop fiber laser markers and CO2 laser markers based on the materials being marked.
The MoldMender Micro Welder was featured in MoldMaking Technology for simplifying mold and die repair with portability at a low price point. It continues to deliver a quick and portable repair solution in the field, without the cost, downtime, and headaches of other mold and die repair welding options.
We were excited to be back at three trade shows in 2022 demonstrating portable solutions to conquer inefficiency: the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) in Houston, IMTS in Chicago, and FABTECH in Atlanta. We look forward to more shows to come in 2023!
As we wind down our 88th year in business, we’re incredibly grateful for our loyal customers, our partners, and our sales representatives, and we’re excited for what’s to come in year 89 and beyond!
