Portable Dot Peen Etching, Marking, and Engraving

  • Since aluminum is a softer material, it is more susceptible to damage from high force.
  • For best results, we recommend using a lower force setting when marking on aluminum.

Marking on Plastic

  • Plastic is an even softer and more flexible material that can be easily damaged by high force.
  • For best results, we recommend using a very low force setting (e.g., force settings 0-5 on the FlyMarker® mini).
  • It is also important to identify the type of plastic, as some plastics are not as compatible with dot peen etching and may be better suited to laser etching.
