Catalytic Converter Marking at the Texas Motor Vehicle Crime Prevention Authority (MVCPA) Conference
From July 15-18, in partnership with our Texas sales representatives, H&O Die Supply, we were a Gold Sponsor and featured presenter at the Motor Vehicle Crime Prevention Authority (MVCPA) Conference. Over 300 attendees representing several task forces from across Texas converged on Houston to focus on combatting motor vehicle theft, with an emphasis on catalytic converter theft prevention.
During our presentation, we shared how the FlyMarker mini portable dot peen marking unit is an ideal solution for catalytic converter marking, engraving, and etching. The fast, portable, repeatable dot peen mark was ideally suited to supporting task force initiatives enacted to prevent theft and to identify and track catalytic converters when a theft has occurred. The FlyMarker mini’s integrated barcode scanner option, which allows for scanning a VIN barcode and then marking the digits, was the most sought-after optional feature for speed and ease of marking.
We also completed several live catalytic converter marking demos during the tabletop expo portion of the conference. It was an action-packed few days! Here’s a one-minute video recap:
