As we prepare to turn the calendar to 2022 and begin our 88^th year in business, we’ll briefly reflect back on a busy and monumental 87^th.

At the start of the year, we launched MobiLase, the industrial fiber laser marker in a 45-lb. rolling suitcase. The MobiLase brings a never-before-seen degree of portability to fiber laser marking in combination with an ease of programming that can be mastered in 12 minutes.

In March, we launched the Rocklinizer® micro, the first ever battery-operated carbide applicator. Built on decades of proven hard surfacing technology, the micro delivers wear protection and gripping benefits Rocklinizer users have relied upon for decades in a 10-lb., 100% portable unit. We then introduced our Marks in 60 Seconds and Sparks in 60 Seconds video series, showcasing marking and Rocklinizer features, respectively, in short video clips. Then, we debuted the FlyMarker mini 85/45 product video, highlighting its powerful dot peen marking capabilities in a lightweight, battery-operated package. The mini 85/45 rounds out the FlyMarker mini product line, which now consists of three models.

In the fall, we were thrilled to finally exhibit at a trade show for the first time in two years at a busy FABTECH Chicago. Our booth was highly interactive with demos of all of our portable solutions, as you’ll see in this 90-second video recap.

In 2021, almost everything became harder to get, and we faced supply chain challenges much like the rest of the world did. Fortunately, we’ve countered most disruptions through internal innovation, including a growing reliance on 3D printing. Find out how we navigated multiple parts being phased out through 3D printing.

As we look ahead to 2022, we have some exciting projects in the pipeline that will advance our mission to conquer inefficiency through portable solutions. Lastly, all of us at Rocklin Manufacturing wish you a wonderful holiday season, and we’re looking forward to year 88 and beyond!
